Computer games are “deciphered” by finding ways to circumvent security controls carried out by the company. This can be done by reading hexadecimal, editing hexadecimal, debugging, or using a keygen. There are 3 ways in general. They had taken a preliminary version of the game that gave the first chapter free, managed to access the other (3, I think) episodes of the game and released it as a full final instead of a Cracked Freeware or something like that.
Even giving code too soon counts when most AAA games have been previously downloaded and are ready to work once the codes are activated.
